“In any relationship, especially marriage, be as free of compulsive thinking as possible. In other words, the more space there is in the relationship - inner space - the more love there is because love arises out of the inner spaciousness.”—Eckhart Tolle
“When anything is blocking my head or there’s worry in my life, I just go sit on Mars or something and look back here at Earth. All you can see is this tiny speck. You don’t see the fear. You don’t see the pain. You don’t see thought. It’s just one solid speck. Then nothing really matters. It just doesn’t.”—Heath Ledger (via hip-)
“For those who believe in God, most of the big questions are answered. But for those of us who can’t readily accept the God formula, the big answers don’t remain stone-written. We adjust to new conditions and discoveries. We are pliable. Love need not be a command or faith a dictum. I am my own God. We are here to unlearn the teachings of the church, state, and our educational system. We are here to drink beer. We are here to kill war. We are here to laugh at the odds and live our lives so well that Death will tremble to take us.”—Charles Bukowski - Life Magazine, 1988 (via getonyourown)
I thought I’d make another post to try and raise awareness of the two impending bills that are still very likely to get passed. These two bills would grant the government the power to remove any website they please from the Internet for any reason they see fit. Sounds wrong, right? It is. These two bills threaten Americans’ freedom of speech, a constitutional right supposedly guaranteed by the First Amendment.
Craigslist actually has a nice page written up that can tell you about it better than I can, so allow me to direct you there. Please take a look and check out some of the links below to educate yourself about what is happening in Congress right now.
“Learn four new things everyday. Something about yourself. Something about the people you love. Something about the world. And something about a stranger.”—I Wrote This For You: The Something (via prima-volta)
“I sat thinking how terribly sad it was that people are made in such a way that they get used to something as incredible as living. One day we suddenly take the fact that we exist for granted - and then, yes, then we don’t think about it anymore until we are about to leave the world again.”—Jostein Gaarder (via misswallflower)
